Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary
The Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary is a famous wildlife reserve in Hazaribagh. This sanctuary covers an area of 186 sq. km of plains, undulating countryside and steep hills with thick tropical forests and grass meadows. The sanctuary is surrounded by the tribals habitation. This sanctuary is the part of the Chotanagpur plateau and densely forested with grass meadows and deep waterways. This sanctuary has the large number of sambars than any other wildlife sanctuary of comparable size. Some other animals in the sanctuary are panther, spotted deer, wild boar and bear. The best time to visit this place is in the springs when the undulating countryside is covered with sal and other trees. The best month to visit this sanctuary is from October to April.

The Hazaribagh lake also attracts various tourists. It is a popular picnic spot and place for water sports.

Canary Hills
