Umed Garden in Jodhpur

Umed Garden is located in Jodhpur city. It is developed by Raja Umed Singh and named after him. It is located within Jodhpur City limits. The garden is covered by Lush green lawns beautiful Roses and other seasonal flowers. The garden has 5 gates to enter from different directions. There is a Museum, towering Asoka trees, artistically designed fountains, a Library and a Zoo is also present in the garden.

Visitors can spend their time by resting in lawn watching the flowers and fountains, relishing their time with nature or visiting museum, library and zoo. The Garden is open during timings 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM, the whole week. Visitors are advised to visit the garden in its opening hours. Visitors are allowed for 1-2 hours. The entry fee of garden is INR 30 for Indian citizens, INR 100 for International citizens and INR 10 for kids aged 5-11 years old.

History & Attractions of the Garden:
It was established by Maharaja Umaid Singh (1918-1947 A.D.) and covers an area of 82 acres. It has lush green lawns, huge Ashoka trees, roses and seasonal flowers, Sardar Government Museum, fountains, library and a Zoo. A ‘Walk-in Aviary’ was constructed in 1978 where one could see different types of birds, local, African and Australian parrots, Ducks, Rabbits etc. in their natural habitat. Large cages for Bears, Foxes, Deers, Lions, Leopard etc. have been provided.
